23,762 - Contract Pool Reduction Service Area Vibrant Communities DCA Sonia Schmanski Bureau Name Portland Parks & Recreation Director Adena Long Funding Type Name Reduction Status: Recommended Package Desc Expense Recommended Total An ongoing appropriation within External Materials & Services had been established as a pool for External Materials and Services ($77,175) contracts to satisfy an ongoing series of requirements of the Financial Planning & Analysis team. ($77,175) The nexus of these tasks relates to compliance with aspects of Binding City Policies for Finance. It had been used most recently in FY 2021-22 and FY 2022-23 to fund a contract to conduct a market- Revenue Recommended Total based comparative fee analysis for PP&R. Elimination of the contract pool appropriation within FP&A will require separate funding requests for any newly identified requirements, the outcome of General Fund Discretionary ($77,175) which would be subject to available funding. ($77,175) Service Impacts This will have no immediate impact in the current year. Any requirement identified in future years that would be satisfied with external contractors will need to complete for funding at that point. These would most likely lie in contractor performance of surveys, analyses or other work related to compliance with Binding City Policies for Finance. Equity Impacts There is unlikely to be any negative equity impact from this reduction.
