23,655 - Reduce Lands Fleet by 1 Chevy Bolt Service Area Vibrant Communities DCA Sonia Schmanski Bureau Name Portland Parks & Recreation Director Adena Long Funding Type Name Reduction Status: Recommended Package Desc Expense Recommended Total Reduce fleet by one vehicle utilized by the Indigenous Community Coordinator (ICC), East Internal Materials and Services ($5,675) Developed Park Coordinator, and West Developed Park Coordinator to visit work sites, support ($5,675) volunteer events, attend meetings, and participate in meetings and events with friends and partners. The vehicle is allocated to the Indigenous Community Coordinator position and is shared with the Revenue Recommended Total two Developed Park Coordinators. This proposed operational change would eliminate funding for this vehicle and limit transportation options for employees in these roles to be in the field, support General Fund Discretionary ($5,675) volunteers, friend, and partner events, and attend friend and partner meetings. ($5,675) Service Impacts The three positions using this vehicle will need to access other pooled vehicles, if available, on occasion. This may require increased coordination of transportation. Another option is for the employees to take on the liability of using their personal vehicles for city business. Equity Impacts No impact expected if employees have access to other fleet vehicles when needed. May impact perceptions of a welcoming, safer, and inclusive workplace culture.
