This will eliminate all restroom cleaning, trash removal and litter pick-up one day a week. $0 The calculation is based on the reduction of two Seasonal Maintenance Worker shifts on Sundays in all zones. This package reduction will go into effect September 1, 2025. Revenue Recommended Total Service Impacts General Fund Discretionary $0 There are a variety of ways to reduce daily parks maintenance costs. Daily clean and care offerings $0 will be reduced by one day per week and only offered six days per week. Depending on the day chosen to reduce service, different service impacts will occur. Choosing a weekday to reduce service would require additional coordination with Labor partners, as many personnel have Monday through Friday work schedules. Equity Impacts This absence of PP&R Land Stewardship staff in parks one day a week will result in overflowing trash, an increase in litter and undesirable activity. There will be a delay in response to address hazards in communities that already struggle with a lack of resources. With diminished PP&R staff presence disparities will present in the experience park users have, with lower income, marginalized communities impacted at a disproportionate rate.
