This Limited- Personnel $166,918 Term Administrative Specialist III provides necessary support to all four verticals, but especially to $204,418 Portland Solutions leadership to ensure effective program delivery City-wide. Revenue Recommended Total Service Impacts General Fund Discretionary $204,418 Impact: Continuing to fund this position would significantly decrease the amount of time leadership in Portland Solutions spend on administrative tasks. $204,418 Assumptions: This position will report to the Director of Deputy Director of Portland Solutions and assist managers in Impact Reduction Program, Street Services Coordination Center, Public Environment Management Office, and the City Shelter Team. Measuring outcomes: Results are measured by number of meetings sent, special projects spearheaded, and time managers spend on administrative issues. Alternatives: Without this position, the Portland Solutions would be less able to tackle complicated programs and slower in delivering results. Equity Impacts This position interacts with the community regularly, including vulnerable communities. Specifically, this position coordinates outreach efforts and data gathering related to the homeless and unsheltered population in Portland. This population has a documented disproportionate amount of people of color and other often underrepresented communities who are further marginalized by housing status. This position ensures our data is compiled and updated to ensure service providers can connect with the individuals and have up-to-date information to best serve their needs. Regular support and contact with outreach providers to homeless individuals seeking an outreach worker will be required as a daily function of this position.
